Everyone wants perfect skin. Let’s face it; we’ve all been guilty of being envious of celebrities and what appears to be their flawless skin. Well, there’s good news…and bad news. The bad news: It’s impossible to have perfect skin. The good news: There are things we can do daily, to make our skin damn near close to flawless.

DETOX. Cleansing your body from the inside will eliminate many of your outward nuisances. Eliminate the fast foods, alcohol, caffeine and sweets. Try eating healthier and hydrating your body with plenty of water. Once you’ve master a healthier eating regimen, start incorporating exercising with your new found eating habits – this will also aide in promotion of healthy skin.

SLEEP. It may seem that there’s no time for seven or eight hours of sleep every night, but trust me, in order to accomplish healthy skin, you must set aside these hours so that your body – skin included – can function properly.

MEDITATE. Stress affects skin. Don’t let your emotions take a toll on your skin. Find a quiet place to be alone daily and focus solely on yourself. Finding peace in the midst of chaos will give your skin a natural glow that even a good bronzer can’t accomplish.

PROTECT. The Environment plays a major role in the appearance of our skin. Sun exposure, weather changes, pollution, free radicals, florescent lights, and yes…even computer screens, can compromise skin. I can’t stress enough how important it is that we protect our skin and invest in some type sunscreen.

Remember: We only have one body, so it is important that we treat it right. The things we do – or don’t do – to our bodies will reflect on our outward appearance sooner or later in life.
