Even though all the shopping stress is mostly over, the parties and social situations are still out there.  Occasionally, stress happens "in the moment" and we wish we could access the calm feeling we get from doing yoga.  Of course, you can't run out and take a yoga class in the middle of an event, BUT you can walk calmly to the bathroom and sneak in a couple of postures.

Yoga in the bathroom?  Yes. Yoga in the bathroom.

I have put together a short little stress- releasing/energizing series for you to do in front of the bathroom mirror when you are out and about.  Do this when you need a break, are getting fatigued or to re-group. If you are in a hotel for an event you'll likely have a big lounge area with a nice mirror in the ladies lounge.  If you are in someone's home or another public space, I have thought of the setting so don't fret.

There are no floor postures or inversions here. You don't need to touch any germ-y surfaces . You wont wrinkle your clothes and you'll be fine in your shoes. Just breathe normally in each posture.

Click on the links for step by step instructions for each posture.

Wash your hands.

Look into the mirror. Exhale.

Close your eyes and breathe... count to 15.

See? Now isn't that better?
