TX Tough presents the Grand Prix II criterium race held tonight at Victory Park. If you've ever wanted to watch a bike race, this is definitely the one! A criterium, also known as crit, is great because you won't wait for hours just to get one glimpse of a fantastic biker that zips by you just as you blink. A crit is a short course on closed city streets that is repeated, about 70 times for this race. The course is downtown at Victory Park, which loops around the American Airlines center on N. Houston, All-Star Way, Victory Ave and Museum Way.
The race begins at 6:40pm tonight, and restaurant viewing specials begin as early as 5:30pm. Admission is free and pledges benefit the Children's Medical Center in Dallas. Parking will be available throughout Victory Park and the north side of the American Airlines Center.
Join the party with food and drink specials at The Boardroom, Victory Tavern and Victory Plaza. Also, the Texas Irish and PBA will host a watching party. They will be held in their hospitality tent with all you can eat pizza and drinks for only $10 non-members of TX Tough and $5 for members.
The race is on rain or shine!
