Only 17 days till the Turkey Trot and it's day 2 of the crash course training program.  If you're planning on joining the Dallas Thanksgiving tradition and burn a few calories before feasting on turkey and dressing, then get in shape to make your race recovery a little less painful.  Make sure you're not the one hobbling around the entire weekend just because of you're lack of training.

Day 2: Outside play time. Yes, this does sound like a kindergarten recess class, but that's the point. Have fun today. If you own a bike, dust it off and go exploring outside. The leaves have turned, Autumn is here and the weather is still warm. Enjoy these last few days of warm temperature with a 30-60 minute bike ride. Give your legs a rest from the impact of running yesterday. If you don't own a bike then take your family and pets to the park. Run around with everyone, play a backyard game, just simply be active while elevating your heart rate for a minimum of 30 continuos minutes.

If you missed an earlier workout, check out Day 1.

Happy Running!
