Track your time and distance with this new iPhone App from RunningMap.com. If you run with your iPhone to listen to music, this is a great enhancement to tracking your miles. It's easy to use by only tapping a start and stop button. The Trackometer uses GPS to track your route and then sends the information to your account. So by the time you get home and log onto RunningMap.com you can view the route you just completed!
Also, you are able to log notes about each individual run through your iPhone. This way you can look back on your progress and also see where you need to improve. It's like your personal coach in your hand!
The main RunningMap.com website has also been updated recently. They are offering the first 500 runners to download Trackometer to be entered for some great prizes including dry fit training shirts and Belkin™ Sport Armbands for your iPhone.
MapMyRun.com also has an iPhone App available. It records not only distance and time but also calculates your pace and speed. MapMyRun offers two Apps: iMapMyRun which is free and iMapMyRun+ which cost $4.99. The difference between the free and paid version is that in addition you will receive no ads inside the app, ability to take photos along the route and also listen to music without exiting the App. The purchase price of $4.99 is worth it when you are able to listen to music at the same time as tracking your run.
RunningMap's Trackometer does not state whether or not music can be heard while using the App. The price for the Trackometer App is only $1.99.
