Megatech Mega-Blimp Combo

Home for the summer with the kids?

One necessary excursion is a trip to see Disney-Pixar’s wonderful new movie, UP. With underdog heroes, a quirky sense of humor, and a touching message, the kids will love it, and the adults will undoubtedly appreciate it even more.

Warning! One unexpected side effect of the movie may be a sudden interest in blimps, or as those in the know may call them, airships.

Enter the Megatech Mega-Blimp Combo with Lights Airship 1 and UFO, available from Amazon for about $53 plus tax.

Now you (oh, and the children) can have your very own airship. According to Amazon, the airship is “activated and controlled by a removable triple-fan silent electric propulsion system. This triple axis control system means it can be flown forward, backward, up and down and perform 360 degree turn-on-a-dime maneuvers. Full control and maneuvering of the air vessels is maintained from a hand-held transmitter with a range of over 100'.”

Amazon recommends that the blimp be used indoors although “on a calm day [it] can be flown outdoors using the included tether and tether hooks.”

The navigator can also choose from seven different strobe lighting patterns. And for those children whose interest isn’t piqued by airships, they can play with the UFO instead.

The one downside is that you can’t play with it immediately – you must have it inflated at a party store or florist.

But nonetheless, when your ship comes in, you will be buoyant with happiness.
