Cyber Monday.com, a website devoted to the day.

Today is Cyber Monday, the Monday following Black Friday and the ceremonial kick-off of online shopping in preparation for the holidays. (And also a chance to bandy about the term “Cyber Monday”, a neologism invented in 2005). If you couldn’t muster the energy to battle the crowds last Friday, not to worry! Deals abound online.

According to a survey by online shopping site Shopzilla for the National Retail Federation's Shop.org, nearly 84 percent of online retailers plan to have a Cyber Monday promotion on December 1.

Here are some websites that will help you shop 'till you drop (out of your chair):

  1. Amazon. An array of deals to choose from, including laptops, digital cameras, and headphones.
  2. Buy.com. A long list of bargains, from MP3 players to HDTVs.
  3. Cyber Monday. This website provides a comprehensive list of more than 500 merchants so you don’t have to wade through them all individually.
  4. Deals of America. Another website that provides a collapsed list of deals from various websites.
