Ladies, as the saying goes, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. There is barely a man alive who doesn't like to eat. Whether he is a vegan or an omnivore, he will be all too satisfied with a nice dish served up at some point in time.
Maybe you've heard whispers from your aunts or mothers that go something like, "These young girls these days don't know how to boil water!" Or, "You know she can't keep a man, because she doesn't know how to feed him." Women's liberation be darned! These older ladies are telling you, what you know deep inside, there is a benefit to knowing how to work a pot and pan!
You do not have to be a gourmet chef or even Paula Dean to whip up a good meal. And if you just refuse to cook, or can't cook, then fake it until you make it! Set a nice table and pick up take out. He does not have to know! Just give yourself time to get rid of the evidence.
However, if you're going to do it, you must do it right. A small establishment where you can meet the cook as well as the wait staff and feel at home, is the best place to find a good down home flavor that tastes fresh out of your grandma's kitchen.

There is no doubt a man loves a woman who looks good, is fun and can hold a conversation. However, if you have all of that in a wonderful package and can cook, you will literally have that man eating out of the palm of your hand!
No, you don't have to be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen, but knowing your way around some homemade mashed potatoes and a rice pilaf only adds to the beauty that is you. It will also save you money. How much do you spend at restaurants on any given day? You have to eat too, right?
What do men and women have to say about this? Should women know how to cook?
A lady has her say:
Should women know how to cook in general? Yes, we all have to feed ourselves. Should women know how to cook so they they can cook dinner for some guy? Nope. - S. Piercy, Charlotte
And now a word from a gentleman:
When a man looks for a wife, he looks for the mother of his children. Couldn't imagine that without cooking [being included]. - M. Adams, Charlotte
