I will first start off by admitting that my growing love for The City stems from my huge addiction to The Hills.  I absolutely love it.  Many see it as a crappy reality television show, and the whole reality concept is constantly in question, but there’s just something about The Hills that although it may seem like an unreal world, we (fans) somehow can relate to the drama.  Or at least girls can.  The same now goes for The City.

When I saw that Whitney would be starting her own show, I was ecstatic.  It didn’t matter anymore that The Hills season was ending, because now I could start watching The City.  MTV pumped us up for it by showing us that Whitney landed a brand new job in New York City at the end of The Hills.  It was a perfectly smooth transition into this fresh, new show.  Of course we have to follow Whitney onto New York and see how she survives there.  Any addicted watcher would agree.

Whitney’s character on The Hills was so sweet and she was always such a good friend to Lauren.  She was never a part of any fights or in the center of drama.  This sort of left a mysterious side to her.  Can Whitney always be drama free?

The City features a whole new cast, and a whole new slew of drama-filled situations.  I’m hooked already, as I’m sure many others are.  Why is drama so addicting?   Who knows.   Many more episodes to come!
