
Thursday kicks off the fourth annual Scottsdale Fashion Week. Downtown Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Waterfront will feature numerous art and fashion events, including more than two dozen runway shows. Purveyors of fashion and style are given a chance to showcase their work to the Valley. Scottsdale is a mini art and fashion mecca and has been recognized by American Style Magazine as a top City destination for art.

One of the most anticipated shows this year is Zhao Bandi’s panda runway show. As a famous influential and contemporary fashion designer and artist in China, he will premier his panda show for the first time in the United States Friday night. The panda show is somewhat controversial and said to shock audiences by portraying different sides of Chinese society.
The events begin on Thursday with the “Wearable Art” art walk on Southbridge. Galleries and shops throughout Scottsdale will exhibit additional work throughout Scottsdale Fashion Week. Other events throughout the weekend feature big names including Kevin Hall, Kate Spade, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Dillard’s, and Barney’s. Featured up-and-coming designers include local favorites Angela Johnson and Amelia Walsh.
