As where no official reason for the closing has been cited, Sonotheque closing their doors on November 15th and moving their events to other clubs in Chicago has been reported from The Sun-Times, Metromix, and now confirmed again by Time Out Chicago.
What everyone does agree on is that some of the co-owners plan to stay on board with what is expected to be a trendy hot spot to fill the space. Coming on board with the three of the current owners reportedly staying with the new club will be Paul Devitt of the Beauty Bar franchise.
“We can confirm that the current ownership group—one that includes Terry Alexander, Joe Bryl, Bruce Finkelman, Donnie Madia and Peter Toalson—have sold Sonotheque and it will close the week ending November 15th. The new ownership group continues to include both Finkelman and Toalson, and now adds Paul Devitt,” writes Toalson in an email according to Time Out Chicago.
Given time for a face lift and new ownership, we anxiously await the new club.
