Enough with the “Jingle Bells” already!

Looking for something a bit more, uh, tolerable this holiday to drown out the ramblings of drunken relatives fighting, football games, children crying, new toys squawking?  Perhaps something off the playlist will get you through the day.  That and another helping of the spiked eggnog.

Jingle Punx, starting out as a joke between friends, the 5th installment of the punk rock holiday classics is sure to drown out, well that above mentioned and keep grandparents at bay.

Don’t worry those celebrating Channaka have their album too by Yidcore Why Won’t Adam Sandler Let Us Do His Song.

Then there is the South Park Soundtrack for Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo.  You may never flush a toilet through the holiday without wiping away a tear after this gem from the tenth season of the series.

Snap-Her brings forth their holiday glee in the I Hate Christmas.

Even The Mighty Mighty Bosstones had to get in on the holiday spirit back in 2001 with This Time of Year, to which Punkmusic.com declares Dicky Barrett sings like he’s got a throat full of gravel on every track.

Gather the family for a listening of Peter and the Test Tube Babies’ I’m Getting Pissed for Christmas disc. Oh the joys of songs about drinking and, well, there’s lots of bar hopping discussed in the title track.

You can’t mess with classics and dust off the Ramones Merry Christmas (I don’t want to Fight Tonight).

The Nightmare Revisited disc has some amazing covers from The Nightmare Before Christmas sure to fit the mood of any holiday gathering ranging from Korn, Flyleaf, Marilyn Manson, The All American Rejects, Jefree Star, Amy Lee, and many more.

Smash-Up Derby has a collection of holiday mash-ups Santastic 4 featuring hit songs VS some pretty rad carols.

Thus ends the list of ways to drown out the holiday noise, err, cheer going on in your home this holiday season.
