I am away, but a few interesting snippets have passed by my desk that might perk up your week:
SNIPPET #1
Please join us on Saturday, February 14, 2009, 7-10pm for a presentation of Cady Noland's iconic 1987 essay "The Meta-language of Evil," in relation to the exhibition on view. This discussion will be led by Tyler Emerson-Dorsch, beginning at 7pm. Following this, the gallery's new Assistant Director, Clayton Deutsch, will give a lecture titled "Intentionality - is it for real?"
The exhibition on view is A Perfect Human, a group exhibition curated by Milena Hoegsberg and Megha Ralapati. This exhibition includes works in video, sculpture, sound and film by Zhao Bandi, Martin Basher, Melissa Dubbin & Aaron S. Davidson, Joergen Leth, Patrick McElnea and Sreshta Premnath.

Spam Allstars are proud to have provided the theme music to WLRN's new show - Under the Sun. It airs on WLRN 91.3 FM and WKWM 91.5 FM, South Florida's NPR affiliates. The next air dates are Saturday March 7th at Noon and Sunday March 8th at 7pm. Co-hosted by Alicia Zuckerman and Dan Grech, Under the Sun is a new series of radio specials bringing you the perspectives, passions, accents, and sounds of this colorful and complex part of the country. They're telling the stories of South Florida, from the Palm Beaches down to the Keys. If you're out of town, you can listen live, or online at http://www.wlrn.org (Macs are not compatible sorry!). The weeks show will be posted after it airs Saturday.
