Heather Locklear was officially charged with driving under the influence of drugs this past Monday, in connection to her arrest on Sept. 27 in Santa Barbara, California.
The former Melrose Place and Dynasty star, was seen driving erratically and an eyewitness who turned out to be a paparazzo called 911. She then was arrested and booked in Montecito, California. The lab tests showed that there was no alcohol in her system and no illegal drugs. She is taking prescription drugs, so it is being said that is what impaired her ability to drive. Back in July Heather did 4 weeks of treatment for anxiety and depression which is why she was taking prescription drugs.
Her arraingment is scheduled for January 26, 2009. If she is convicted she could face penalties from a fine to up to 6 months in a county jail.
