Ethics gangs. Media hit men. Internet goons. They must be very happy. They must feel powerful.
Who wouldn't want to quit? It costs a lot of money to defend yourself against the ethics gangs. As Palin said, it costs them nothing. Ethics advocates, as we've been reminded again by two Governors, often don't have ethics. They do feel entitled to endlessly harass politicians, most on the right, whom they consider targets.
Media hit men, and women as we've seen with the recent Washington Post party-with-me scandal, can only hit one note when singing their dirges. One note, one side of the story. How are journalists trained these days? These insulated, protected idealoges will never face the consequences of their stealth bombing targets like Palin. In fact. their professional lives are devoted to approval seeking of like minded, progressive bosses and colleagues, not covering a legitimate political story.
Internet goons are useful tools of the progressives, Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. Anonymous twenty-somethings living in their parent's basements spend entire days whipping themselves (lol) into a hallucinatory frenzy over Sara Palin, her baby and her two daughters. How perverted is it to be titillated this way? It's certainly not legitimate journalism.
No matter how perverted, legitimate or not, they won. Their familiar repertoire, wing nuts, trailer park trash, whatever, resonated.
They won, but it won't stick. Even Olympic medals get taken back. We're not talking about Olympians, we're talking about cowards, 90 pound weaklings. The media should do a little expose on her harassers. Get one of the awkward adolescents on stage with Sara and see who wins that one.
It won't happen. The problem is, these gangs, goons and hit men serve the powerful. They're already working on elections. Paper ballots, many now believe, are reliable. History says paper ballots are unreliable. The wide and deep margin of error paper ballot elections create is where the Democrats know they can win elections. Using prolonged counting delays and the courts, just like Al Franken did in Minnesota. What a loser. No wonder Franken's victory was hailed in the media. It takes one to know one.
The gangs, goons and hit men are losers. Sarah Palin is a winner.
