Heart of Texas Arts & Craft Show to have vegan products

This weekend at the Plano Convention Center, the Heart of Texas Arts and Craft Show will take place. One of our local vegan vendors, Deborah Dana, proprietor of Vegan Soap Kitchens, will be displaying her wares at the show. Deborah's products are all vegan and some of the most creamy and indulgent soaps you can find anywhere, all with delicate scents. She makes both vegan soaps and vegan lip balms and is part of the Vegan Etsy group. Check her website for current specials, and be sure to attend the crafts festival to see what other vendors will be displaying their wares.
Hours are:
3 pm to 8 pm on Friday, October 16, 2009
9 am to 5 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2009
11 am to 4 pm on Sunday, October 18, 2009
Admission is $5 for adults; kids 12 and under are free
If you should miss the Heart of Texas show, Deborah will also be at the Friendship's Craft and Gift Show on November 7, 2009, from 10 am to 4 pm. The show will be held at the Friendship Baptist Church in Fairview, Texas.
On October 24, 2009, Deborah is supporting the Walk for Farm Animals in San Francisco, California. She is sending a large box of soaps and lip balms, all cruelty-free, to be awarded to the person who raises the most money for the walk. She is also contributing a gift basket to the Humane League of Philadelphia (HLP) holiday fundraising effort.

Lip balms come in the following flavors: Asian Pear, Chai Tea, Red Delicious Apple, Apple Spice, Cinnamon supreme, Creme de Menthe, Gingersnap, Iced Pineapple and Tangerine, Mango Peach Fusion, Mint Truffle!. Reportedly, the Mint Truffle is a favorite and tastes like a chocolate mint - yummy!
If the craft shows do not work into your schedule, Vegan Soap Kitchen products are now carried locally in North Texas. Visit Herb Mart in Plano to purchase Deborah's soaps and to enjoy their other great natural food products. With the holidays coming, be sure to pick up a few extra bars for gifts and stocking stuffers. Promoting vegan products and proprietors is a great way to be a vegan activist and promote compassion!
