DC kayak rentals: Jack's Boathouse
Tucked away in the shadows of the Key Bridge is one of Washington's must destinations for locals and visitors alike. Established in the 1940's, Jack's Boathouse is a truly unique getaway for those in the know.
Located on the edge of the Potomac River at 3500 K Street, NW, Jack's offers visitors unique views of the Potomac River, Kennedy Center, Washington Monument, Roosevelt Island, and Key Bridge, while just down the street sit a number of Georgetown waterfront restaurants.
As available, parking is free for renters. Should the lot be full, K Street has ample meter parking, as well as parking garages. Standard canoes, and single and tandem kayaks are available to rent.

Be sure to take advantage of Jack's Sunday night, guided tours for $25. The two-hour paddle takes you around Roosevelt Island and/or towards
Fletcher's Cove (depending on conditions).
Additionally, Jack's now offers outdoor boat storage for $50/month. Renters are responsible for their own locks.
For frequent boaters, season passes are available for $250. And, for anyone who wants to extend their stay, or just hang out while friends are on the water, Jack's provides two gas grills at no additional charge.
