This recipe is part of the LAST-MINUTE HOLIDAY GAMEPLAN, giving you tips on planning, shopping for, and preparing your own Holiday Dinner in less than a day, under $100!

INGREDIENTS
12 medium yams
2 cups White Granulated Sugar
Dark Brown sugar
Butter
Cinnamon
Marshmallows

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees

-Slice the yams into disks
*You may peel them before you slice them, or after you boil them

-In a pot, add just enough water to cover the yams and stir in the sugar

-Boil until tender

-Drain into a colander
*If you haven't peeled the yams, now is the time.  The skins peel right off, and it is much easier, yet tedious.

-Arrange the yams into a baking dish and lightly sprinkle cinnamon over the surface

-Generously coat with brown sugar

-Dot the yams with butter

-Bake for 30 minutes

-Top with marshmallows, and bake until the marshmallows have slightly melted and are lightly browned

MAKING SMALL TALK
What's the real difference in taste between yams and sweet potatoes?
