INGREDIENTS
15 slices Sourdough Bread
1 package Aidell's Chicken Apple Sausage
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 cup chopped celery
1.5 cup Yellow Onions, diced
2 medium Fuji Apples, diced
1/3 tbl Thyme
3 tsp Rosemary
1 tbl Sage
2 cups Chicken Broth

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees

-Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes

-Lightly toast the bread in the oven, then remove from oven

-Cook the Aidell's Chicken Apple Sausage in a separate pan

-Melt butter in sauce pan or deep skillet

-Add the celery and onions and cook on medium heat until they are softer and translucent

-Add the apples and the spices, and stir

-Add the Chicken Broth to the mixture and bring to a boil

-Remove from heat and combine the liquid and the bread cubes

-Coat bread thorougly.  It will be sticky, but be sure it is not too wet.  If it is, add more bread.  If it is too dry then add a bit more chicken broth.

-Transfer to a baking pan and bake at 350 degrees until the stuffing has dried a bit, about 20-30 minutes.

MAKING SMALL TALK
Tell them that your secret was using sourdough bread, since it's a dry bread -- rather than using stale bread or corn bread like most people do, or cheating by using the store-bought stuffing.  It also adds to a unique, yet comfortable flavor.
