!In addition to setting precedent with his win in the 2008 presidential election, President-Elect Barack Obama has impressed America with his very fit figure. Speaking of working out, Obama is no stranger to fitness.
According to ABC News, Barack combines cardio, strength training by using the treadmill, elliptical and weights. In addition, he combines active hours of basketball on the court.
There is a reason why variety keeps us in shape. If the future leader of your country combines cardio, strength and some kind of other physical activity like basketball to kick is fitness routine in gear, why are you still running on a treadmill?
Variety, Variety, Variety, I cannot stress this factor enough. Your body needs constant stimulation from varying factors in fitness to yield results. Cardio is great do not get me wrong, however massive quantities of running is useless and can tear your joints away!
If you plan on working out 3 days a week, designate them accordingly, One day cardio, one day strength training and one day do something outdoors, hiking or sports of your fancy! You will build muscle quicker and have a more even toned look throughout your body.
