I don't know about you, but when I think of the party life, the images that come to mind are fabulous cocktail dresses, champagne, air kisses, a great DJ and gift bags. If your visions are the same as mine, then you'd best get acquainted with Glamasquad.com, the lifestyle brand launched by relative Dallas newcomer, Lexi Hammonds.
Saturday night, she partnered with non-profit organization The Fashionistas to ring in her official arrival into the Dallas market. The Shak was the perfect location for the event. Not only were the attendees dressed to the nines (present party included—Max Azria, baby) but the mingling took place amongst a collection of the hottest contemporary fashion.
The Shak is the hipper, edgier little sister to the Crescent Court's legendary institution, Stanley Korshak. The designer index reads like a who's who of hip couture: LaRok, Diane Von Furstenberg, Poleci, M Missoni, and William Rast are just a sampling of the labels that regularly rotate the displays.
Of course denim, shoes and accessories are available (so is menswear) but by far the crowning grace of The Shak is its collection of dresses. The offerings are short, long, full-coverage, semi-nude, bold, muted, and everywhere in between.
All of that is to say, once you become part of the Glamasquad your dress game had better be on point. As I say, life is an event. Are you dressed for the occasion?
