Last night, the place to be was the Woodruff Arts Center for the screening of Soledad O' Brien's Latino in America. The crowd of press, prominent Latinos, and VIPs was decidedly diverse as the Latino population in America. Three types of wine were served along with cubanos, egg rolls, tortillas and other delightful treats. Most women wore suits or dresses with colorful flair.
Soledad known for her stellar reporting and charming manner is quite the dresser. She had on a lovely black and white suit with tall pointy toes leather boots and black fishnets...no less.
The preview itself was 45 minutes and touched on the all the aspects of the documentary. One of more memorable parts of the night was the Garcia segment. Garcia is the eighth most common name in America; the documentary cleverly follows several families with the surname Garcia from all walks of life.
Watch the two part series Latino in America on CNN starting tomorrow October 21 at 9 PM Eastern.
