Some people choose to go to a beach. Others choose to go to the mountains. Yet when it comes to truly exceptional destinations, some intrepid travelers choose for much more unique, one-of-a-kind destinations.

The article “Most Unique Places to Visit” states that “some travelers are trading beach vacations for unforgettable experiences in faraway lands like these…” The distant lands include the Dragon’s Blood Trees on the Indian Ocean island of Socotra, the Takstang Monastery in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, the Salt Plains in the Salta region of Argentina, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump in Alberta, Canada, a visit with the Throat Singers of Tuva in Siberia, among others.
