Travel to Uptown Charlotte this weekend and experience the “Magic of Christmas” with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. The Charlotte Symphony (CSO), with Alan Yamamoto and Scott Allen Jarrett conducting, will present its annual Christmas concert at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center’s Belk Theater in Uptown Charlotte this weekend with four performances: Friday, December 5 at 8:00 PM; Saturday, December 6 at 2:30 PM and 8:00 PM; and Sunday, December 7 at 2:30 PM. The Charlotte Symphony website suggests patrons attending the “Magic of Christmas” can “share the enchantment of a musical wonderland as the Charlotte Symphony, caroling choirs, and special guests make the season bright.” “One of the most popular holiday concerts in Charlotte,” writes the Presbyterian Foundation, “the ‘Magic of Christmas’ is an evening of joyful secular and sacred holiday music performed by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra and a number of choral groups.” The Charlotte Observer writes that “the program offers something for everyone when it comes to musical tastes.” So make your plans now and attend the Charlotte Symphony’s “Magic of Christmas” this weekend and enjoy a spectacular Charlotte holiday tradition!
