With nod to David Letterman (I used to work for CBS),

Here are the top ten reasons Muntadhar al-Zaidi threw his shoes at George W. Bush:

10. Took advantage of opportunity because he missed chance for Saddam.

9.   Wanted Bush to examine quality of Iraqi footwear upclose and personal.

8.  Hoping for lucrative pitching deal in new Bush franchise in major league shoeball.

7.  He always liked the concept of "blue-eyed soul".

6.  Knows Bush from their frat days at Yale.

5.  He's a blogger trying to up his page views.

4.  Misunderstood when Bush said, "Bring it on."

3.  Misunderstood when Bush misquoted Truman:  If you can't stand the feet, stay out of the kitchen."

2.  Got caught in the moment trying to prove "Iraq's Got Talent".

1.  "Greenie" looking for way to creatively reuse worn out sandal.

It's the biggest shoe scandal since Condi Rice or Imelda Marcos!!  For more shoe stories and some video, go  here, here, here or here
