After Black Friday and in the spirit of Green Monday, environmental group SaveNature.org (formerly the Center for Ecosystem Survival) announced Holiday Gift Packages that make the holidays more festive and provide needed resources to help the organization save wildlife and habitat globally.

SaveNature.org works to protect the rainforest in Costa Rica and coral reefs in Palau.  The NGO also helps save threatened and endangered animals such as jaguars, spider monkeys, tiger sharks and dugongs for future generations.

Founder Norm Gershenz says the group’s online store makes shopping simple and stress-free.  He continues, “Instead of the usual present of toys or gadgets that will be quickly forgotten, give them a gift that will last forever and let them know you care about their futures."

In announcing Holiday Gift Packages, the group says a $50 gift will protect one-quarter acre of rainforest or coral reef and include a personalized honorary deed and your choice of a one-pound box of See’s® Candies or 8 ounces of organic fair-trade coffee from Martha & Brothers Coffee® on Church Street in San Francisco.  The gift of giving just got a little greener!
