There IS natural relief!

Bothered by someone's snoring?

Whether it is your snoring that is cutting into your quality sleep or the noise of someone else's snoring that is keeping you up, there ARE natural ways to find some relief!

The spring is a time when the sinus membranes can swell due to seasonal allergies. This inflammation can interfere with breathing and produce a snoring response. Sometimes just rolling over onto one's side or tummy can silence the noise. Others like to use the strip things that stick onto the outside of the nose. But what if even that doesn't cut it?

The essential oil Eucalyptus can open the airways, as well as Rosemary, Wintergreen and other menthol containing oils. Just a dab (mixed in a carrier oil to reduce skin irritation) below the nose can do the job. The enzymes Bromelain and Papain are found in the fruits pineapple and papaya, respectively. Both of these have bee shown to help in regulating histamine release. The flavonoids Hesperidin and Quercetin have been shown to reduce inflammation and reduce histamine production. These two have often been used in conjunction with the herb Nettles (aka Stinging Nettles or Nettle Leaf) to fit the bill.

These things can be incorporated from the diet, but sometimes supplementation is needed to be able to reach the necessary amounts needed to produce results.
