According to several sources close to the player and Barcelona, the French international will most likely not finish out his contract with the Blaugrana and instead he will make his much longed for move across the pond.

Sport as well as TribalFootball are reporting this on Sunday evening.  Many say that the decision has already been made in Henry's mind and he will consider making the move to Major League Soccer after the World Cup next summer.

This decision is not only based on his constant desire come here, but he also rejected the possibilty of making a return to the Premiership.

Barcelona looked to offer Henry to Manchester City in order to obtain the Brazilian international.  The proposal has been placed on the table and Henry has rejected it as well as a  direct offer from City to go and join them as of 2011.

The Daily Mail reported on Sunday that Henry will pass on any money offered to him on behalf of the English side in order to make his dream of going to the United States to play in Major League Soccer and he believes that this would be the opportunity for him to do so.  At 32 years of age, he would be in a position to do especially in a city like New York where he is constantly seen in.

The speculation of Henry coming State-side began to emerge once again when Bolivian cellphone magnate Marcelo Claure partnered with the FC Barcelona in order obtain an expansion team for South Florida.  The possibilty of having a team there would facilitate a player like Henry to come to MLS.

For the Red Bulls this would be the great opportunity to obtain a player with the media appeal that Henry has both in the States as well as internationally.  They have tried to go that route with former River Plate and Aston Villa man Juan Pablo Ángel.  But let's be honest Ángel's resume makes Henry's look like an encyclopedia.  The Frenchman is among one of the best players of the past decade and has been able to play at a top level in two of the best leagues in the world.

What do you think about this prospect?  What do Barca fans think?  What do MLS supporters think?  Let everyone know.
