Yet another H-wood glamour girl is planning to ditch the palpable phoniness sun 'n' fun of LA and call our gritty city home. Vicky Cristina Barcelona star Penelope Cruz revealed to Spain's El Pais newspaper that she is indeed frustrated with the "lonely" and "obsessive" City of Angels. "After a number of years in Los Angeles, I no longer want to live here. It will be better if I share my time between New York and Madrid, where my family is," admits the Oscar-nominated actress. The saucy Spanish thespian also waxes poetic about her Vicky director and NYC film legend, Woody Allen. "He says what he thinks, unlike many people that I have met in Los Angeles."
Oh, burn, LA. BURN! First you can't hang on to your home-grown "reality" stars, and now your actual talent is packin' up and heading east, all because you're just too damn stuck on your spray-tanned selves!
Cali's loss is of course, our gain. I'm predicting a sprawling SoHo pad for the lovely Ms. Cruz—a fair distance away from the "hip" Union Square digs of her Vanilla Sky ex—and lots of future Gawker spottings of P'nel and BFF Salma Hayek 'round town.
