Is culinary heaven beckoning you with delicious morsels? Curious about the unique flavors awaiting to grace your palette? As your San Diego Gay Travel Examiner had the pleasure to taste and explore the hidden delights of Adams Avenue during its first annual ‘Taste Of Adams Avenue’, here are his top favorite diners for you tasting pleasure.
‘Taste Of Adams Avenues’ Top 3 Favorite Diners –
Does your taste run the gambit from Spicy Thai Chicken to an Euro-Style Gastropub? Does an evening out under the stars on a lovely secluded patio, sound just divine? From 30th to Edgeware street on Adams Avenue, here are some eateries such to make your taste buds water with anticipation at the scrumptious dishes they produce.
Jayne’s Gastropub –
If the thought of dining in a french garden under an open sky, the evening lit by twinkling fairy lights gets you going, then this eatery is must do. Explore their extensive wine and beer selection, as each is personally chosen for its taste rather then its brand.
Recommend - The seared ahi tuna paired with the delicious hard cider.
Tao –
Craving a trip to the far east? Why not try Tao, a new Vietnamese-Japanese restaurant that just opened up on Adams Avenue on the corner of Felton Street featuring handmade tofu and freshly made soy milk.
Recommend – Ask for the handmade tofu in the basal, tomatoes sauce with a glass of hot Sake.
Mariposa Ice Cream –
As a huge fan of gelato, I normally find Ice Creams a little to thick for my taste. Mariposa Ice Cream has gone a long way in converting me with their smooth, yet rich flavors. All of their flavors are hand made by the VanRansom family, made with 1/3 less sugar and half the air then other Ice Creams.
Recommend - White Choc Raspberry Ripple, mixed with the Rum Raisin.
