Traveling the kiddies this year? Lost at how to provide those much-needed hours of entertainment for the wee ones? Thanks to your San Diego Gay Travel Examiner here’s a couple suggestions that are sure to entertain and educate, while providing a festive holiday spirit.
Holiday Hotspots for the Kiddies
Festival of Lights at the Wild Animal Park – With everything from real snow for those adventurous sledge rides downhill at Snowhill, to an amazing Dark Light Puppet Show at the Benbough Amphitheater this festival is a must do. Be sure not to miss Mister Claus at Discovery Station - kids will get the chance to sit in his lap, telling him what they want for Christmas!
**Recommended for All Ages. Dates are December 26–30, 2008, January 2-3, 2009 from 4 to 9 p.m. daily. Please Visit the San Diego Zoo for more information.**
Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! At The Old Globe theatre – If your kids love the book and the movie then they will love The Old Globe's stage production of ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas!’ Fast becoming a San Diego Holiday Tradition, most of the children on stage are local talent. Keep your eyes open for Kevin Bailey as he returns for his third year as the Grinch, and what a dreamy Grinch he makes.
**Recommended for All Ages. Available Dates are December 24th, 27th, and 28th. Please Visit The Old Globe for more information.**
