Openly bisexual politicians are out trying to change the world in America. Here is the lowdown on who is out there and where they are making a difference:

Kate Brown Secretary of State in Oregon, second in line to Oregon's Governor. She became a state representative in 1991 and served two terms in the House before being elected to the Oregon State Senate in 1996 then becoming  Oregon's first woman Senate majority leader in 2004.

Micah Kellner State Assemblymember in New York.
Kellner helped pass the Marriage Equality bill in the NY State Assembly twice* stating "voting in favor of the right to marry is the most important vote I will ever cast" and has a page of his website devoted to LGBT issues.  He is a leader on fighting for people with disabilities. Kellner was a featured speaker at the May 2009 National Summit on Putting the "B" in LGBT where he spoke out on the difficulty of being the only bi politician in Albany, even though he has several gay & lesbian colleagues.  For a slideshow of Micah Kellner's appearance at the National Summit on Putting the "B" in LGBT click here.

*unfortunately the Marriage Equality bill has not yet been voted on in the NYS Senate

Kyrsten Sinema State Representative in the Arizona House of Representatives. Her campaign website bio states she served as the Chair of Arizona Together, the first campaign to defeat a same-sex marriage ban on the ballot in AZ.

Ezra J. Temko City Councilmember of Newark Delaware

In Feb of this year, the 23 yr old political wunderkind introduced and got support from the City Council for an anti-discrimination ordinance based on sexual orientation and won support to add gender identity to the city's non-discrimination clause in its personnel policy.

Look for future interviews of these brave and brilliant politicians.
