My family went to the movie theater to see this fun and action packed movie. (My family includes 20 month old twins, a four year old, a seven year old, and a nine year old.)

They all sat captivated in the movie with fingers greased in butter and big cups of lemonade. The thrill of the movie theater can make a movie more magical then it may be at home, but while roaming the aisle of Wal-mart my girls spotted the "Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs" display and there was no turning back; the movie was coming home.

I have to say that it was a great price at $14.99, for the one disk model, much cheaper than getting my husband, five children, and myself into the theater.

When home my children could barely hold in the excitement as I broke through the ridiculously hard packaging to discover the clean and scratch free disk; not for long. My seven year old slid the crisp new movie into the DVD player, hit play, and I had a whole 94 minutes of utter peace.

The "silly" squirrel, Scrat, danced across the screen with the new girl squirrel, Scratte, and my children giggled and watched just as attentively as they had done in the movie theater only months ago. They did not need the thrill of the theater or the over-priced popcorn; the movie was still a hit.

The movie I have to admit is sweet and well written. The story begins with the knowledge that Ellie is expecting a baby and then the adventure sets off when Sid finds some dinosaur eggs that belong to a T-Rex mom. The lovable herd heads off to find Sid and in the process discovers a land  of dinosaurs.

This movie is sure to intrigue any age and has the ease to be watched over and over (like my children like to do). So for a great deal pick up this too-cute movie and pop some popcorn - make it a movie night. Halloween may have a forecast of showers, but it could have a forecast of dinosaurs.
