In this photo by huntgraphics.com, the bride is perfectly attired for a fight! Plan ahead?

According to a recent article on MSNBC, in Poland, a couple had a huge fight shortly after their civil ceremony. Soon they were in the kitchen where the 50-year-old groom tried to hack off the hair of his 34-year-old bride with a kitchen knife.

Cops were called. Restraining orders delivered and gladly accepted. Two more efforts at patching things up resulted only in escalations. The groom spent his wedding night in the homeless shelter. Cue: Good night, Irene.

This is as good a time as ever to look at some of the reasons marriages have a hard time surviving. Stay tuned.

(Oh, and while you're waiting, go check out the National Wedding Examiner (Elizabeth Oakes) and her most recent article on Bridezilla, Part One. You'll chuckle, you'll grimace and you'll determine to do better!
