Brides: pay attention! There's a big difference between summer and winter weddings. It's cold during wedding weddings. It's often cold in halls and churches. A strapless wedding gown may make you look beautiful, but it will also ensure that you freeze. Freezing brides don't have a good time at their weddings. Overtired, cold brides meeting lots of people during the flu season can often lead to sick brides on honeymoon. Boo!

You chose the winter because the weather was wintery. Go ahead and make a statement about the beauty of this season. Play with it. Be dramatic. Be mysterious. Be warm.

There are fabulously beautiful options available that have the additional pleasure of making your wedding not like everyone else's. Velvet, faux fur, heavy satin, brocade are all wonderful options for gowns. Apparently European brides are favoring red gowns (long-sleeved and fur trimmed, bien sûr!) during the winter. Interestingly, it was the Brits who had the best ideas for keeping warm. At last, someone who's realistic about the weather. There are many things that you can transform on your wedding day. The weather is not one of them!

Wrap up. Be warm, be beautiful. If you've spent months working on your arms, consider tight velvet sleeves that show them off to perfection. And when you've found the right way for you to be both fabulous and warm, don't forget your bridesmaids! There's no reason for them to freeze either. After all these are the women you like best in the world.

If you have suggestions for topics to explore, write to the Wedding Priestess. You make it all so much more interesting.
