Raleigh is gearing up for Cyber Monday 2009 following a long Black Friday weekend.  The highlights in the news were the large crowds.  However, the hottest items for theft landed in the perfume departments.  Four Black Friday arrests were made surrounding theft from local stores, three involving perfume. 

Kumba Gbondo, 29, was charged with misdemeanor larceny and resisting arrest.  The department store Kohl's almost lost out of $325 worth of items, including two bottles of perfume. 

Cleo Wilkins Jr., 57, was also arrested for stealing department store items, including perfume.  This arrest unfolded at Marshalls. 

Ermin Eli Mejia, 28, had been arrested for trying to steal Baby Phat Goddess Perfume worth $44 from J.C. Penney in the North Hills Mall.

Cyber Monday will come as a relief to local authorities in the area.  However, Internet theft can occur as well.  Since perfume is a hot number to steal on Black Friday, will it be sweet enough to swipe a credit card for to use on Cyber Monday?  Remember to be wise and not allow anyone access to your personal information to prevent theft on Cyber Monday.
