Don't worry, I've never heard of her either. But it looks like this will be her big break.
Says Celebuzz:
Alessandra Torresani has been confirmed for the final member of the The Runaways as metal pioneer Lita Ford in what is sure to be a bad girl train wreck when she collides with Kristen Stewart (fulfilling the role of rock legend Joan Jett) and Dakota Fanning (on keyboards as Cherie Currie) in this highly anticipated bio-pic about the groundbreaking 1970s girl band of the same name.
The 22-year-old Torresani must know that she has a lot to live up to when the filming starts next week. For starters, how about learning to play guitar?
"I learn the guitar starting [Monday], so that'll be interesting," she said at the Young Hollywood Awards on Sunday.
She primarily has guest starred on shows like Bones, E.R., Malcolm in the Middle, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles. This film marks a positive turn for her career, and Torresani knows it.
"There's some kick-ass girls in the movie, right? It's going to be great."
Hm - wonder if she's got the "emotional depth" Kristen Stewart possesses?
Speaking of Kristen, it looks like the actress' hair has gotten even shorter since she chopped it off yesterday. Kristen was spotted heading into a studio with her now signature knotted t-shirt look (of course) and even shorter, darker hair. What a badass punk rock chick she is! Good thing the scowl is her best expression. Wonder if Dakota will be doing anything to her hair?
Do you guys like Kristen's new look? I think her features can definitely handle the cropped cut.
