Katy Perry on Today. Photo: Right Celebrity

Pop songstress Katy Perry, performed on the Today show on July 24th in one of her more... risky ensembles. The 24-year old, known for her bi-curious #1 hit and her strange obsession with fruit, serenaded a decently sized crowd while donning a red, sequined dress covered in fuzzy dice. Yes, covered in fuzzy dice.

Perry, who celebrated her first year as a platinum artist last week, says that if she weren't a pop star, she'd definitely be a stylist. While I have to applaud Katy for pushing the boundaries of wearable art, I have to admit that the thought of her dressing others (and getting paid for it) makes me shudder a little bit.

She performed three songs on the show, Waking Up In Vegas, Hot N Cold and Thinking of You. Co-host Matt Lauer did an excellent job of maintaining his composure as the singer met him on stage.

I've always been shocked by Katy Perry's seemingly cool, calm and collected demeanor. For a girl who rides gigantic tubes of chapstick in concert, she's awfully down to earth. As far as the outfit goes, though, she's definitely on another planet.
