Professional LEGO Artist Duane Hess's recreation of 'Office Space'

As the movie Office Space so poigniantly pointed out, not all of us get to have our dream job.

But Duane Hess does.

When Duane Hess was in high school, he had three dreams: 1.) Live on an island. 2.) Work for LEGO. 3.) Have one of every set LEGO ever built.

No. 1 hasn`t worked out so far, but he achieved No. 2, and with an 800-square-foot basement filled to the brim with hundreds of thousands of pieces, he`s as close as anyone ever gets to achieving No. 3.

Hess belongs to a club of adult LEGO builders, CoWlug.net, a group of adults who survived what he called the"dark period", when your building goes into the closet because you think you're too old to play with blocks. Hess's hobby, however, got him a call out of the blue from someone recruiting to work for LEGO Universe, a new Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) that let's your LEGO action figure travel to different LEGO worlds.

Here's a look at some of the "works" that got Hess his "work".

For more info: You can see more of Duane Hess's work at his Flickr page, the homepage of the adult LEGO building club CoWlug.net, and here.
