Kasey Kahne's chances of winning the Sprint Cup championship disappeared nearly a month ago after he was involved in two crashes late in the race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. All he has done since then is give his best.

The following week in at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte Kahne finished third. After a disappointing run at Martinsville the following week, he came back strong with a second place finish at Talladega last Sunday. Throw out Loudon, Charlotte, and Martinsville and Kahne has had a pretty impressive run in The Chase.

Unfortunately for him every race counts and he currently sits 9th in the standings with only 3 races remaining. That doesn't keep him from approaching every race with a desire to win.

Texas Motor Speedway may be an opportunity for Kahne to do just that this week. Kahne has won at Texas, and also has a top-ten there. It's the type of track that Kahne loves. Nine of his 11 career wins have come on intermediate tracks.
