Twitter has become a phenomenon for some reason that I personally do not understand.  For those of you that do not know about Twitter, it allows people to send out short, random messages that other people can read.  While I do not personally recommend that people randomly send out messages about their activities for security reasons, there are some other legitimate business and personal purposes.

If you are one of those people who use Twitter, I strongly recommend that you go to Twitter immediately and change your password.  There is a news story that is not getting much attention in the non-security world that details a couple of recent attacks against Twitter users, including Barrack Obama and Brittney Spears.

You may or may not be a victim, and you likely would not know if you were. Changing your password regularly is a good practice either way.  You should also consider that if you reuse the same password on different services, those accounts may also be at risk.
