In past articles, I recommended that everyone enable automatic updates on their PCs or they could become vulnerable to attacks.  Unfortunately, a lot of people have not heeded that advice.  As a result, many computers remain vulnerable to completely preventable attacks.

At the moment, there is a worm spreading that is taking advantage of a problem that is at least two months old. A worm is essentially a computer virus that spreads itself, without any human action required. It is not uncommon for them to spread around the world in hours, damaging millions of computers in the process. Similar worms have created billions of dollars in damage. However, the important thing is that it can destroy all of YOUR data.

So please take a moment, if you have a Windows PC, and make sure that you have Windows Update Service activated on your computer. Even if you have a Mac, you have to make sure that you have their similar update feature activated.
