The author looking at his aura

In October of 1973, I attended a lecture in New York City by Sant Kirpal Singh. After the lecture he taught everyone how to meditate. During my meditation, I experienced waves of green and yellow light and felt very peaceful. If that wasn't amazing enough, after everyone was done meditating, Sant Kirpal Singh asked for a show of hands of those who saw red, those who saw purple, those who saw green and yellow, etc.

I wanted to ask him what it was that I saw and what it meant, but never got a chance. When I began Transcendental Meditation a month later I had the same experience. I asked my initiator what it was, and all she said was that it's probably a manifestation of unstressing.

Years later, at a Summit Lighthouse conference, I came across an aura imaging booth that promised to show you your aura. Being open-minded and willing to try anything new, I paid for a reading. When I saw my green and yellow aura on the video display my mouth dropped. Here was the answer to my question about what I saw in 1973. The printout answered my question about what it meant. It said, "Yellow is the color of the intellect and green is the color of growth and change. Thus my ideas will be changing in many areas. The gold on the right indicates warmth, optimism, humor, and natural joy. Compassion and inspiration is what I am all about. I want to save the world and have fun while doing it. My hope and confidence in the future is a great comfort and inspiration to others."

"The major lesson I need to learn is to believe in myself and my ideas. I am able to intuit knowledge directly from the ether so I can't always explain how I know what I know. I also need to avoid getting so involved in intellectual pursuits [such as this examiner page] that I don't take time to have a little fun."

I talked to the booth renter, Tonya Gamman about why she brought aura imaging to the conference. She said, "We were observing firsthand in full color the teachings on the human aura and the seven rays that we had until now only accepted in faith. Keepers of the Flame, coming out of violet-flame and blue-flame decree sessions, were as excited as we were to see the respective colors in their auras. We had been told that white light is rare in the aura. It is the light of Christ consciousness, the mighty I AM Presence, spiritual essence and of the saints and ascended masters. We are happy to report that it is not rare at the Inner Retreat or in the auras of Keepers of the Flame. We saw lots of white. Some walking among us are all white. Truly we are walking and talking with saints daily in our church home, and often we are not aware of it nor are they. We also noticed that the auras were clearer and brighter than the auras we saw later in the general population. This was a convincing testimonial to the power of the spoken word and our teachings.

We realized what a great tool the Aura Camera was for contacting people and demonstrating the teachings. No longer did people have to accept what we taught on faith; they could see it for themselves and learn to work with their own energy."

Here's a short video about aura imaging:

Certain sensitive people are able to see other people's auras without the aid of an aura imaging camera. Some claim they can heal your aura with techniques such as Reiki. But just as I don't like medical doctors messing around with the insides of my body, I don't like the idea of a psychic messing around with my aura. I believe each person can purify and strengthen his or her aura through spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer, decreeing (spoken word), sungazing and paneurhythmy (sacred dance).

I'll never forget the time I went out to eat with three friends after listening to a lecture by someone who was rumored to be a demoniac. I had been doing a lot of decreeing for protection and felt invincible. So I foolishly jumped up on the stage after the lecture to confront the lecturer. His secretary intervened and scheduled a meeting for the following day. All the while, the lecturer was looking at me out of the corner of his eyes. At the restaurant, I order a bottle of Perrier, set it down and looked at the menu. All of a sudden the bottle rose in the air, hit my arm and then settled back down on the table. Someone said, "Did you see that?" No one spoke, because they didn't want to admit that something paranormal happened. I did not feel a thing because the bottle hit my aura. Later that night, I awoke and saw a pitch black cloud above me. I was paralyzed; I couldn't move or speak. Finally, I was able to utter with difficulty "Astrea!" the name of the Elohim of Purity who can cut us loose from dark forces and entities. Immediately, the black cloud vanished and I was able to move.

This experience taught me the power of the spoken word to strengthen the aura against psychic attacks. It also taught me not to walk into places where angels fear to tread. Needless to say, I didn't keep my appointment.
