On October 25, 2009, U2 annouced new North American tour dates. The U2 360° Tour 2010 will stop in Philadelphia, PA on Monday July 12, 2010.

Lincoln Financial Field will host the tour that brings U2 to Philadelphia for the first time since, May 2005. The performance at Lincoln Financial Field will allow for a much larger audience than the 2 shows at the Wachovia Center back in 2005.

The announcement of the 2010 North American dates came after U2 played a live concert streamed on YouTube. That YouTube performance was filmed from the Rosebowl in Pasadena, CA. After the stream, U2’s website posted this message, “Hope you caught U2 360° live from the Rosebowl, Pasadena on YouTube tonight. And now we can reveal that U2 360° is coming back to North America in 2010.”

Currently during the U2 360° 2009 tour has allowed fans to hear 22 songs. Many of the songs were the first time fans were able to hear tracks off of No Line On the Horizon, one of the best selling albums globally this year. The album's peak position reached number 1 in ten countries. In nine of those countries the album was certified at least platinum including 3x platinum in the bands native Ireland.

The 360° show will bring a cylindrical video system of interlocking LED panels, and a steel structure rising 150 feet from the floor over a massive stage with rotating bridges. This set up will truly bring a 360° experience for all concert goers at one of Philadelphia’s biggest stadiums.

Although tickets will not be on sale until November, Lincoln Financial Field’s website gave fans an insight at what ticket prices may look like. Tickets will be scaled so that 85 percent of tickets are priced less than $95.00. General admission floor tickets will be around $55.00, with at least 10,000 tickets per venue priced at $30.00.

Subscribers to U2.com are able to buy tickets ahead of the general public through special presales. Also, subscribers will be sent a limited edition U2 remix album and gain unique online benefits.
More information as far as on sale dates and exact prices will soon be available at u2.com, lincolnfinancialfield.com and livenation.com
