Dayton OH – November 6, 2009

The theme this year is “An Evening at The Cotton Club,” and it gives a hint of  the style of music to be available tonight during the 12th annual Dayton Urban League Gala tonight at the Dayton Art Institute in Dayton.

Entertainment is scheduled to include the Different Hats Jazz Band, Central State University Jazz Band, DJ Chris Paul and the Premium Blend Band.

There’s also the High Rollers Casino, and lots of great food.

But before the music starts and the food served, they’ll present the 2009 Diamond Awards, honoring empowerment.

Honorees this year include Dr. Glenn Faircloth, The Honorable Michael R. Turner, Dr. Morris Brown, Camela L. Douglass, Dr. Robert Walker, Jan Lepore-Janleson, The Honorable Walter H. Rice and Dr. Marquerite Walker.

Premium Blend plays during the MLK Inaugural Ball at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Dayton, Saturday, January 17, 2009.
