The Great Recession might be past its middle point. Or, at least, it no longer seems naive to suggest that we're closer to the end of the nightmare than the beginning.

This has been a particularly tough time for folks who do creative work for a living. We do things that are too often considered expendable when it's time to cut costs. That's wrong-headed thinking, of course, but it's out there. The landscape is littered these days with designers, copywriters, and other creatives who found themselves at the wrong end of the hatchet when things got bad.

Lemonade, a new film from director Marc Colluci, aims to show that it's not all doom and gloom.

The trailer, below, shows a handful of former ad agency professionals who got laid off and found something better. From a man who switched genders to a woman who found her calling as a yoga teacher, the trailer hints at a story greater than the sum of its parts. Keep an eye out for it.
