Shawn Mason Spence is one woman in Baltimore who is creating the life she wants through Mary Kay Cosmetics.   An Independent Sales Director with Mary Kay, Spence maintains a consistent customer base and serves as an inspirational mentor to other Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultants in the Baltimore metropolitan region.

Approximately 500 women worldwide have become Independent National Sales Directors, the highest status within the independent sales force. Spence is diligently working to achieve that status.   Having already secured the title of Independent Sales Director, Spence and her team of Independent Beauty Consultants work collectively to promote skin care, glamor and body care products manufactured by Mary Kay Cosmetics.  Most importantly, Spence helps to nurture and build the entrepreneurial and leadership skills of the women on her team.

When asked to share her definition of Christian entrepreneurship, Spence replied, "I don't know if there is a such thing as Christian entrepreneurship. As Christians, we're called to work on everything as if it is onto the Lord (Col. 3:23), so how I run my business is in line with how I run my life. In Mary Kay, we believe God first, family second and career third...so I am able to pray, play gospel music and quote scripture freely in my dealings with my business associates and customers."

 Women in the Baltimore metropolitan region looking to,

  •  earn extra income;
  • be their own boss;
  • have an at-home business; or
  • have the flexibility to spend more time with family and friends

should consider attending Spence's Mary Kay Open House on October 24th (12 noon-6 pm) and October 25th (2 pm-6pm) in Pikesville, MD.   Attendees will receive door prizes, a light fare, and refreshments.  Additionally, women who attend either of the Open Houses will have opportunities to obtain glamor shots, anti-aging tips, personal shopper services, and utilize virtual makeover stations.    On both days, attendees will receive FREE gift wrapping, FREE shipping, FREE delivery and various payment options for purchases ranging from $10-$500.

Although Spence may not believe in Christian entrepreneurship, she is a wonderful example of a Godly woman - a wife and mother - using Biblical principles to grow a successful business.

For more info:  Contact Shawn Mason Spence at www.marykay.com/smspence to get an address and driving directions to the two Open Houses scheduled October 24th and October 25th.  And if you can't make the scheduled Open Houses, contact Spence at a later date to receive a 10-minute information, no-obligation session.  If you mention you read about her in this article on www.examiner.com, you will receive a free lipstick!
