This week's Dancing With The Stars presents the waltz, the jitterbug, and a group mambo for the remaining contestants. Airing at 8:00 pm Pacific time on Monday and 9:00 pm Tuesday, the ABC show remains a top ratings grabber in family reality entertainment.
In a double elimination week, with illness and injuries plaguing the show, contestants were interviewed backstage during tonight's show prep about their individual plans for staying healthy.
Aaron Carter said that shaking hands with fans and constant interaction with partners and contestants requires "Purell (hand sanitizer) every five minutes!".
Donny Osmond stated he doesn't drink caffeinated products, so a healthy beverage offered to him by dancer Louis Van Amstel was declined; however, shortly therafter Van Amstel found him with a syringe of B-12 being injected into his leg, prompting Osmond to say he may have looked like a caffeine opponent who was a drug addict, instead.
After her partner discussed staying healthy by avoiding excess contact with all the germs on the set, singer Mya said to an ABC reporter "I just pray."
Actress Melissa Joan Hart said that, as a mommy, she's "used to snotty-nosed kids" and germs, so she's accustomed to the health risks in everyday life.
Health scares on the set may be overshadowed by model Joanna Krupa's announcement of being chosen for the December cover of Playboy magazine. No official report on the show's opinion of that news, but viewers may express opinions in this week's voting, one way or the other.
Celeb visitors to the set who will be in the audience Monday night include Katherine Jackson, Busy Phillips (of ABC's Cougar Town), Candace Kane, and country singer and former Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough.
