Feline Folks, Tampa Bay South Shore’s nonprofit organization helping and controlling homeless and stray cats, will have its last educational program of this year Tuesday, Nov.10 at 2 p.m. Staff members will talk about and explain what entails the training of cats and how to teach cats manners and tricks. Besides giving out free clickers for the first 30 guests, Feline Folks will also offer door prizes.
Employing the steps of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), Feline Folks not only humanely reduces the overpopulation of homeless and feral cats but also provides feral, neglected or abused cats with loving care. Feline Folks invites animal lovers and people interesting in curbing the cats’ overpopulation to its free educational program. The organization relying on donations and support will also have its Feed The Tuna Chest Food Drive, accepting unopened bagged or canned cat food and cans of tuna. The event will take place in the Community Room at the South Shore Regional Library at 15816 Beth Shields Way off 19th Ave. in Ruskin, Fla.
