We spend plenty of time here applauding groups and individuals who save the lives of dogs and cats from animal shelters. They do good work.

However, not as much space is given to the passionate breeders who also make a positive impact. Education is one way that breeders and groups like the American Kennel Club make a difference.

There are several training programs in the DFW area sanctioned by the American Kennel Club

Whether you want your dog to learn how to be a certified "good citizen" or you would like to provide agility training to your pet, these inexpensive courses are actually fun activities that you and your dog can do together...along with other enthusiasts. 

Apparently, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
